I was so excited to present to Lazar Middle School’s Computer Club with STEMFuture’s middle school computer science workshop curriculum (“more coding” edition). This workshop focused on the logic and programming aspect of computer science. We jumped right into coding – and the students were so excited to do so! The students learned about variables, loops, print statements, and even functions. The session was an interactive coding one – with a back and forth between learning a lesson and then trying it out by actually typing out the code. By the end, the students (even those who had little to no coding experience) were able to code their own functions in Python, a culmination of all of the logic, lessons, and syntax that they had learned in the workshop.
